Malam Pra Graduan 2016 telah diadakan pada 18 Mei 2016 di Dewan Berlian, UiTM Selangor. Majlis makan malam kali ini dianjurkan oleh Bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar dibantu AJK dari pensyarah yang diketuai oleh En. Mohammad Zaim Bin Mohd Salleh. Ianya juga melibatkan kerjasama dari mahasiswa Fakulti yang diketuai Sekreteriat Mahasiswa dan AJK dari Persatuan-Persatuan dalaman di bawah Pusat Pengajian Teknologi Pejabat dan Rantaian Bekalan (BOSS, TRANCILT dan OPEMS). Program wajib Fakulti bertemakan "Dilwale Night" ini mendapat sambutan yang menggalakkan dari mahasiwa dan juga pensyarah.

Seramai 750 mahasiswa telah hadir dan 40 orang pensyarah turut memeriahkan lagi sambutan Majlis Malam Pra Graduan untuk semester ini. Majlis Malam Pra Graduan kali dirasmikan oleh Dekan Fakulti Pengurusan dan Perniagaan, Prof Madya Dr Siti Halijjah Shariff. Bahagian Hal Elwal Pelajar juga telah menganugerahkan Anugerah Pelajar Harapan Fakulti kepada Mohd Aminuddin Bin Rosli dari program BM231 (Bachelor in Business Administration (Hons) Entrepreneurship) di atas penglibatan ko-kurikulum yang cemerlang.

Sekreteriat Mahasiswa FBM telah mengadakan satu Bengkel Sudut Pandang Kerja bagi memberi pendedahan kepada persatuan dalaman dalam hal hal berkaitan pengurusan aktiviti hal ehwal pelajar. Bengkel tersebut bertempat di DK200, FPP1 Kampus Puncak Alam pada 10/11/2014. Penceramah yang hadir adalah dari Timbalan Dekan ( HEP) Dr Ramlee Abdul Rahman dan pihak pengurusan UiTM Puncak Alam.

 

Karnival Keusahawanan D’Puncak merupakan satu program dengan kerjasama MASMED UiTM Puncak Alam. Karnival selama dua hari (17-18 November 2014) ini telah memberi peluang kepada pelajar FBM untuk menambah pengetahuan berkaitan keusahawanan . Terdapat beberapa aktiviti sepanjang dua hari tersebut. Antaranya ialah Seminar keusahawanan,Forum keusahawanan, Entrepreneur Street, Pertandingan Business Plan dan Booth Terbaik. Karnival ini telah berlangsung di Dewan Serbaguna, UiTM Kampus Puncak Alam.

 

 

 

 

Majlis penganugerahan Anugerah Dekan bagi semester June 2014 telah diadakan pada 19 November 2014 dengan tema Batik Heritage. Seramai 800 penerima anugerah dekan telah hadir dan majlis dirasmikan oleh Dekan FBM, Prof Dr Zaini Abdullah. Majlis tersebut juga telah menobatkan saudari Nur Izzah Izyani Binti Jamaluddin dari program BBA( Hons ) Health Administration sebagai pelajar terbaik Fakulti.

 

Pilihanraya Kampus telah diadakan pada 08/12/2014 bagi memilih pelajar dari Faculty Business Management untuk Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar bagi 2014/2015. Pelajar FBM telah keluar mengundi dengan mencapai peratusan memuaskan. Mereka telah mengundi di 2 lokasi iaitu Makmal Komputer 3 FPP 1, Makmal Komputer Tingkat 10 FPP2.

PROGRAM KEUSAHAWANAN 'CATUR BISTARI', 21 SEPTEMBER 2013

Selaras dengan Program Keusahawanan FPP dan AAGBS yang berusaha untuk menerapkan budaya dan semangat keusahawanan di kalangan pelajar, kakitangan akademik dan kakitangan bukan akademik, jawatankuasa keusahawanan telah melaksanakan ‘Kursus dan Pertandingan Catur Bistari’ pada 21 September 2013 baru-baru ini. Program ini dikendalikan oleh Johor Corporation Berhad (En. Abdul Rahman Yusoff) yang menawarkan latihan dan sekaligus menganjurkan pertandingan bagi pemilihan peserta untuk mewakili UiTM di Pertandingan Catur Bistari peringkat kebangsaan kategori Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) yang akan berlangsung di Menara MARA, Kuala Lumpur pada 12 Oktober 2013.  Hasil daripada usaha murni ini, seramai 42 orang pelajar Fakulti dari pelbagai bidang seperti Kewangan, Perbankan Islam dan Pemasaran secara sukarela telah menyertai latihan dan pertandingan tersebut.

Konsep ‘catur’ yang membawa maksud penyusunan strategi yang berupaya membentuk ciri-ciri tajam akal atau kebijaksanaan yang diperlukan untuk kemenangan dan kejayaan telah digabungkan dengan konsep bistari ciptaan Johor Corporation yang meletakkan konsep tersebut dalam konteks perniagaan atau keusahawanan.

Permainan catur bistari ini menghendaki pemain mengaplikasikan sikap proaktif, inovatif dan mengambil risiko yang terbukti dalam kajian Lumpkin dan Dass (2009) membuahkan hasil dalam dunia perniagaan. Di samping itu pemain digalakkan mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai Islam seperti kejujuran dan penyelesaikan kerja dengan sempurna. Secara keseluruhan permainan ini terbukti berkesan pada pelajar kerana mereka dilatih untuk berfikir pantas, dilatih untuk bekerja dalam keadaan tertekan secara efektik, dan dilatih untuk membuat keputusan dalam keadaan tidak diketahui dengan pasti (uncertainty). Bertindak dalam situasi-situasi sebegini tidak diajar dalam kuliah. Pemenang adalah individu yang berjaya memiliki jumlah asset tertinggi iaitu berdasarkan jumlah wang tunai dan nilai bisnes serta jumlah mata sumbangan amal yang disumbang.

Seramai 35 orang (5 kumpulan) pelajar yang mengambil bahagian telah terpilih untuk mewakili UiTM Shah Alam pada hari pertandingan nanti. Walaupun ia merupakan permainan secara berkumpulan, pemenang yang akan terpilih adalah berdasarkan kepada pengumpulan harta dan individu terbaik. Kumpulan yang dibina hanyalah untuk menunjukkan bahawa perlu ada platform seperti ‘primary market’ dan ‘secondary market’ dalam menjayakan aktiviti pelaburan dan ‘wealth distribution’.

Jawatankuasa keusahawanan FPP dan AAGBS telah berbincang dengan Johor Corporation untuk mengadakan program sebegini untuk pelajar kita di FPP Puncak Alam dan juga kakitangan akedemik dan bukan akademik di FPP Shah Alam, FPP Puncak Alam, IBE dan AAGBS. Adalah menjadi harapan agar usaha ini akan menyemarakkan lagi budaya dan semangat keusahawanan di kalangan ‘stakeholders’ FPP, IBE dan AAGBS. Ini selari dengan moto keusahawanan “Actualizing entrepreneurial knowledge is our business”.Kami juga ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada En. Abdul Rahman Yusoff dari Johor Corporation dan jawatankuasa yang terdiri daripada Dr. Sofian Shamsuddin (Pengerusi), Dr. Badrul Hisham Kamaruddin (Setiausaha), PM Zaidi Aminuddin, Dr. Rohani Mohd, En. Shamsul Azren Mohd Shukur, Puan Siti Zaleha Saman, En. Wan Muslimin Wan Nawang dan En. Muhammad Naim Hussin. Untuk aktiviti keusahawanan pada masa akan datang, kami mengalu-alukan kakitangan fakulti yang berminat untuk melibatkan diri sebagai jawatankuasa. “INNOVATING THE YOUTH FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH”

The Center for Applied Management Studies (CfAMS) in collaboration with Customer Service Management Students Society of Faculty of Business Management have recently organized a students’ innovation and design competition with the theme “Innovating the Youth for Sustainable Growth”. It was held on 14 December 2012 at FSK6 Building at the Faculty of Business Management, UiTM Puncak Alam. The event was officiated by FBM Deputy Dean (Students) Dr Ramlee Abd Rahman and the Head of CfAMS, Dr Erne Suzila Kassim.

Mevlana Exchange Programme is open for application. Mevlana Exchange Programme is a programme hosted by Turkish higher education, which aims the exchange of students between the Turkish higher education institutions and higher education institutions of other countries. Students may study abroad for one (minimum) or two (maximum) semesters. Successful applicants will receive 750 Turkish Lira monthly (equivalent to RM1,054) for four months (if one semester exchange) .

KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 (Bernama) -- World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General Roberto Azevedo is optimistic that the 2008 Doha Development Round could be concluded in the near future as member countries begin to show signs of receptiveness towards the agenda being discussed.

Without giving a specific target, he said currently the possibility of concluding the negotiations looks positive, given that members are now more receptive towards one another. "When I came to the organisation two years ago, there was no conversation about all this. Now they are getting out of their comfort zone, they are in solution-finding mode.

"Yes, it's going to be extremely difficult but I think it is possible and I think we are moving from an objective of trying to get the 'perfect deal' to getting the 'possible deal'," he told reporters after giving a talk entitled "Benefits and Importance of WTO to International Trade and Developing Members" here Tuesday. The talk, in conjunction with his two-day working visit? to Malaysia starting today, was also attended by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.

The Doha Development Round is the current trade-negotiation round of the WTO which commenced in November 2001 under the previous WTO Director-General Mike Moore, with an objective to lower trade barriers around the world, and thus facilitate increased global trade. However, since 2008, talks have stalled over a divide on major issues, such as agriculture, industrial tariffs and non-tariff barriers, services, and trade remedies.

Azevedo said the Doha round must be concluded in the foreseeable future because the WTO cannot wait for another long period of time to deliver the next multilateral ?agreement. "We have to do it more quickly. At the end of the day if we cannot do it, then the members have to realise that we cannot do it," he said.

Realising this, Azevedo expects that at some point in time, member countries themselves will eventually sit and discuss among themselves the impossibility of concluding the Doha round. "What is clearly not in the interest of the multilateral system is when all negotiating works of the organisation are paralysed by the fact that we cannot conclude all around.

"The major perimeter that I have been pushing in this negotiation of the conversation is doability. Let's go for what is doable, what can be done at this point in time, not what is perfect or desirable," he added.

Hi! IPeta Ventures, group of event management student will be organizing another run event called "Shah Alam Picnic Run 2015"on 16th May 2015 (Saturday) at Taman Tasik Shah Alam Seksyen 14 (Galeri Shah Alam). The event will have a charity run where every KM you will donate 50 cents to the selected charity home. Other than that, there's also picnic area, mini bazaar and acoustic performances. This event also will be having a yoga session (for free) by Atilia Haron, the ambassador of our event.

There will be 3 categories for the run:

The Transcilt Society will be holding their semesterly event, called Transport Week for two (2) days, from the 6th till 7th May 2015. All seminars and forums will be held at DK 200, FPP. Previously, the themed for transport week was Modern Transportation and Green Transportation. However, for this semester, the chosen theme is Transport Halal Hub, as halal hub is an emerging industy in Malaysia. Participating organizations such as QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd, Cold Chain Network (M) Sdn Bhd, IKHFA Trading Sdn Bhd and Northport Malaysia Berhad would be occupaying the seminar session. JAKIM is also involved as they look to educate students on issues regarding transport halal hub. Lastly, there would also be a meet up session with the BBA (Hons) Transport alumni's in the evening.
