BA117 -Diploma in Business Studies (Transport)
Business today is complex, and it calls for minds that are trained in the broad fundamentals of business. The Diploma in Business Studies (Transport) offered by the Faculty of Business Management, UiTM, started in November 2003. The programme provides some foundations to various business related disciplines including some fundamental business courses, economics, accounting and law. In order to develop a wholesome, trustworthy and responsible graduate, the curriculum also provide courses such as Computer and Information Processing, Business Communication and one foreign language to further equip graduates with other knowledge and skills. During the final year, students are given the flexibility of selecting 6 courses from a range of 13 courses (transport or transport related courses). Amongst them are Transport Economics, Insurance, Logistics, Operation Management, Transport and Tourism and others. This range of courses will provide students with a strong foundation in facing the diversified facets of the transport business challenges.
Apart from that the programme also prepares students for the Bachelor level in transport. In addition, they can proceed to other various specialized degree studies.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) UK recognizes this programme and confers graduates the Member of Logistics and Transport (MILT) upon approval of membership. The CILT will also award exemptions up to 6 out of 9 courses of the Professional Qualifying Examination.

Opportunities for Further Studies
Holders of this diploma can proceed directly into the third semester of the Bachelor of Business Administration program at the Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Graduates can also further their studies at any local or foreign universities.
