Entrepreneurship involves the prescience and willingness to assume risk, identifying business opportunities and using innovation to create value and wealth for all involved. A strong demand for those with entrepreneurial skills exists within the corporate sector and among innovative and fast-growing organizations. A bachelor degree program in entrepreneurship offers students to identify and evaluate a viable business opportunities, secure market resources and mobilize personnel. Upon completion of the program, students can develop skills that could enable them to start a small business or develop an existing business; become a business consultant or enter into managerial-level employment.
Among the entrepreneurship courses offered are New Venture Creation, Franchise Management, e-Commerce, Small Business Management, Business Planning, Strategic Marketing Management, and Innovation Management. Since this programme emphasizes skills in entrepreneurship, the students are also trained in information technology, presentation skills, human resource management, and they are required to undergo practicum in related organizations, especially the small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) Entrepreneurship can find careers in the areas of business management, business analysis, business consultants and as an owner-manager of their own business.
