ABOUT VIIIC
The first International Business and Management Virtual Innovation & Invention of Ideas Competition (VIIIC) was organized by the Faculty of Business and Management, UiTM Puncak Alam in 2021. VIIIC is organised biennially and serves as a platform for academicians, industries, postgraduates, undergraduates and students to share innovative ideas, product commercialization and design in their respective fields. This event is in line with the government’s policy to encourage research activities in Malaysia. Competition will be judged by the professional juries from academia and industry. Among the key highlights of the second instalment of VIIIC in 2023 is the introduction of a special discount for the participants of the 5th Advances in Business Research International Conference 2023 and the inclusion of the Polytechnic/Secondary school category.

GUIDELINES

JUDGING CRITERIA

Novelty

The idea must be unique and original
02

Applicability

The idea must be useful to solve the specific/regional/global problem.
03

Intellectual Property

Copyrighted ideas are preferred. However, ideas without copyright are welcomed.
04

Level of Impact

The idea is beneficial to the community/ industry/ environment.

Video Presentation

The video presentation should be clear and concise. The graphics should be high in quality. The maximum duration is 10 minutes.
The judge’s decision is final, and no disputes or appeals will be entertained.
VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDE

Participants are free to set the structure and storyline of the video. It is recommended that the content of the video fulfils the judging criteria.

Please ensure that the video is ‘U’ rated.

The video link should be accessed with ease without any viewing restrictions.

Includes fields in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Not limited to Medical and Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Biological Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Geosciences, Forensic Science, Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology, and Nano-technology.

Social Science and Humanities

Includes fields in Anthropology, Archaeology, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Languages, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. Disciplines pertaining to the study of human society and culture.

Includes fields in Accounting, Marketing, Sales, Event Management, Finance, International Business, Human Resources, Services Administration, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Administration and Management in Business/Commerce.

Record a 10-minute video featuring your innovation. Please refer to Guideline for the judging criteria and video guideline.
